It takes just a moment to insert a mindful yoga break within your day. Yoga is an ideal way for students to experience mindful movement to focus attention, reduce stress and foster self regulation. In this session you will learn simple and easy to implement yoga practices to fit into your classroom. By implementing these strategies during transitions, after recess, before tests or any other time you feel the need, you and your students can enjoy the benefits of calm, attention and relaxation. Studies show that students learn more and retain more information when movement is added to their day. Stress is disruptive to the learning process.
